Review & Reflect: “For thus the LORD said to me, “As a lion or a young lion growls over his prey, and when a band of shepherds is called out against him he is not terrified by their shouting or daunted at their noise, so the LORD of hosts will come down to fight on Mount Zion and on its hill.” ~Isaiah 31:4
This scripture portrays God’s protection of His people as fierce and unrelenting, likened to a lion guarding its prey. Just as a lion stands undeterred by the shouts and commotion of shepherds, God remains steadfast in His defense of Mount Zion and His people.
“And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.” ~ Revelations 5:5
The Lion of Judah, Jesus Christ, is revealed as the conquering Messiah who alone is worthy to unveil God’s plans. This verse offers hope, showing that Christ’s victory over sin and death grants Him the authority to reveal and execute God’s purposes for creation.
Pray: Mighty God, our Protector, We stand in awe of Your strength and unwavering commitment to us. Like a lion guarding its prey, You stand firm against all that threatens Your people. In times of fear and uncertainty, remind us of Your fierce love and protection. Give us the courage to face our challenges, knowing that You fight for us. Help us to trust in Your power, even when opposition seems overwhelming. May we find comfort in Your presence and strength in Your promise to defend us. Thank You for Your steadfast love and protection. Guide us to remain faithful under Your watchful care. In Your powerful name we pray, Amen.

Greetings! We trust your families and communities are well. We’re excited to share this year’s Christmas Bible Reading Plan. As the month begins, join us in reading approximately 10 verses a day centered on the birth of Jesus Christ our Lord. Matthew, Luke, John and others remind us of our Wonderful Counselor who humbled Himself and took on the form of man, even to the point of death on the cross. May all our hearts and homes be warmed during this Advent Season by our Lord’s wondrous love. Because He Lives.
